Subject: RE: Lyr ADD: Randwick Races (John Dengate)
OK, I'm not too good at this, but in case anyone's still looking, these are the chords I've worked out for "Bill from Erskineville". All other verses have the same chord structure:

(G)(F#)(F)(C)(D)(G)
Oh I'm (G)pleased to (F#)meet you, (F)my name's (C)Bill
I'm (D)working in a factory in Erskine(G)ville
You (G)have to (F#)crawl and (F)conditions are a (C)crime
But you (D)get a few dollars worth of over(G)time
Hooray, (C)ain't life (G)grand
I'm (D)saving a deposit on a (G)block of land
(G)(F#)(F)(C)(D)(G)

This John Dengate song reminds me of living in Erskineville when my wife taught at a university in NSW and I got to play second row for the mighty Camperdown Dragons. And got to listen to John Dengate, a marvellous folk singer. Great days.
