We watched the ceremony on Sky News (simulcast with BBC News 24 iirc). One thing that annoyed both of us was the outbreaks of applause, which more properly belongs in a performance venue than in a church .... but methinks the wake wouldn't have been televised, and not everybody could have attended it, so perhaps it leaked backwards in time into the ceremony.

Mind you, one thing Herself very definitely approved of was them using the unexpurgated full-fat version of Fairytale. The lad got a proper send-off.
