This sort of nonsense is trotted out every time something viewed as sufficiently new comes along, and the scum malware writers haven't had it in their hands for long enough to break into it. Wait a wee while, and there'll be a botnet based exclusively on ChromeOS Flex systems. This actually happened with MacOS: *that* botnet was found to include several hundred Macs inside Apple's HQ. Yet people at work *still* persisted in believing the urban myth that "Apple kit doesn't get malware" .... after all, they (or their grant sponsors) had paid Serious Money for it.

New types of systems don't get the *same* infections as existing ones, but new ones, tailored to the quirks and bugs in the newness. There's two sorts of computer users: those who think they can't possibly get hit, and those who've found they already have.
