We get those "500" error messages a lot. In most situations, if you click the link again or refresh your browser, you'll get through.
BUT there's a more serious problem with the search engine in the grey box. It rarely works at all. We have many search engines. If you follow the instructions in this thread, you'll be able to find almost anything. https://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=162933
