In our N Yorks mayoral election I must admit being very impressed by the Tory candidate's manifesto and commitment. Then, right at the end of the leaflet, an attack was launched at the Labour candidate. I doubt I would have voted Tory but had it not been for that attack I would have at least gone to meet him when he visited our village.

I voted for one of the independents.
