Just been reading the "Jack of All Trades" thread and remembered there was a woman's "reply" version of this song.

.... "Maid of No Trades".....


It was to the same melody and I recall Janet Russell singing it in the old days.

I've not been able to find it by "googling" but I'm sure it's well enough known.

I'd be interested in finding out a bit more. Janet, of course, has written some good songs over the years but this was very early on. So, I'm not sure.

It's something like Peggy Seeger might have composed but I don't know.
