The fridge has a good-sized filter that is changed twice a year, so that helps. And the coil of hose is long enough that I could move the fridge probably 10 feet from the wall and it would stay connected. What I have to remember is to pull off the bottom front kick plate and vacuum the coils underneath; I called a repairman during COVID and learned it was just that there was too much hair built up underneath.
