I stopped going to folk clubs years ago - all it took was one person lighting up and the whole place stank for everyone. Sitting in proximity outside is slightly less problematic, but I still won't do it.

Good luck sorting it out, until vast numbers of people figure out how to leave behind the nicotine addiction and clean air is no longer a problem. I won't hold my breath.
