Yes I am contributing to the discussion- ie on the fall of Damascus - I suggest you do the same.once you read or watch your various news sources in coming days   .If you are unable to say anything useful until then a better contribution from a sagacious elf like yourself would be to point out any typos you see from me so that I can explain any point I haven’t made clear. .Alternatively you could post on the pet peeve thread or start another thread with endless discussions about typos if that’s what you prefer but I likely won’t contribute to it : I think it’s better to stay on topic
