I was introduced to Zakir Hussain through his collaboration with Mickey Hart, percussionist for the Grateful Dead. I remember putting my freshly purchased CD of PLANET DRUM into a studio player where we met for dance practice, and seconds later we were bouncing ourselves all around the studio.
