On the radio I've heard some of the ceremonies that are happening throughout this week until Carter's funeral on January 9. His son speaking at an event in Georgia at the Carter Center. I don't need to see what a funeral cortege looks like, or the moving of the coffin in and out of the hearse for various events, to be moved by the slow-moving respectful schedule that is given us to appreciate the importance of this leader. I will watch the ceremony on the 9th.
