I'm reading Saxophone Colossus, the enormous biography of
Sonny Rollins (tenor saxophone).
Still alive, at the age of 94,
more or less the last of his generation.
What started me on this huge book (based on large archives)
is an interview published in December with him,
talking about his appearance and recordings at
the Music Inn in Lenox, Massachusetts, in the late 1950's.
