Charmion, was the cover fabric? You could have mailed it, but it sounds like getting out of town was part of the reason for the drive? Was it otherwise a good trip and did you do anything else while you were there?

patty, you have your hands full! And a case to send to the state attorney general about that vehicle seller (but did you buy it in New Mexico? Arizona?) Make that letter really pithy to get some of the annoyance out of your system.

My Nissan Pathfinder was typical of many cars, when I picked it up there were stupid (in my opinion) settings I had to redo. The manual is 555 pages, but I have a PDF version of it (find it free from the manufacturer) that is searchable. I had to go in and reprogram some of the features, such as when the car is turned off I don't want it flinging open all of the door locks. Really? Does the car know I stopped in a good neighborhood? And a few other things I no longer recall. The programming is an odd process also, not just using the car's computer—to do with turning it on and off, holding a button, putting it in park, etc., but it does work if you try.

Cat sitting coming up again next week. Making plans to attend a wedding in September. Talking to roof contractors and the adjustor will arrive on Thursday, when I thought I'd be finished with the cat stuff, then realized it is the last day, so that will be a really complicated morning because I don't want to set up dominos of changing the appointment for two other people. I'll deal with it.

Making pickles today, and more tomato cucumber feta salad. Gotta use this stuff while I have it. A Caprese salad with dinner last night was wonderful.
