Hi Polly, that's correct mum didn't know he wasn't her father until she was an adult. I think her dad died in the war as he was in the navy. Ann died last November (his daughter) mums sister. Nan was very private and would never speak of her past so we know very little. Ann's daughter's have been trying to find out more about their grandad.
