Thread Name: Second Chances. Do you give them?
Subject: RE: Second Chances. Do you give them?
Martin, I have experienced the falling out part of your story, but have been waiting all my life for the other part. It ain't gonna happen in this life, it looks like.

But would I give her a second chance? Well, I can't. Not really. I married some one else.

But I have to admit, it would be nice to get a letter telling me what really happened from her point of view. So, I made one up for myself and wrote it in a song. Here is the lyric:

I'm Sorry

1. Dear Dave, I thought I'd write
Well it's been so many years.
But lately I've had thoughts about you
No matter what I do
The thoughts won't go away
But I don't know how to say
I'M SORRY

2. I guess you heard the news
It's ironic, don't you think?
The love of my life has left me.
And now I know the pain
I left with you that day
But I don't know how to say
I'M SORRY

Bridge:I'm sorry for refugees
And victims of disease
Homeless and hungry children.
I'm sorry for all my lies,
And now I realize
I'm sorry I walked away
Yours, Barbara.

3. I folded up the page
And quickly went inside
The wind was blowing so much colder.
It stung my cheeks and eyes
As the sky began to gray,
I wished that I could say,
I'M SORRY

Bridge:I'm sorry for refugees
And victims of disease
Homeless and hungry children.
I'm sorry for ev'ry curse
That made our life the worse
But I don't know how to say
I'M SORRY

Your Somebody wants a second chance? Lucky you.
