I HAVE heard of (and heard live) Ian C (ie Ian Carr) and he is a fine guitarist. There are very few top-ranking guitar players that I have not heard, and although I promised myself I would not get involved in all this again, I have to say that McManus is so much better at what he does than anyone else who tries to play Celtic guitar that he does in fact merit the accolade of the best in the world. I mean Stefan Grossman is a neat blues player but not light years in front of all the other blues guys.

Can we please let this thread die now, or at least have postings from people who have actually seen Tony play. He is on tour in the US at the moment, I have posted the dates twice so some of you should be able to see him.
