Nutty, congratulations! Brava! One of the pivotal moments in my smoking life came when my sister told me that I had a "smoker's voice". For some reason that struck home to me. I didn't like that thought at all, mostly because I knew exactly what she meant.
In addition, since I quit, my vocal range, even though it is still not phenomenal by any means, has definitely broadened and every little bit helps.
The part that I will always regret is that I smoked all during the years my daughter lived at home, much as she hated the habit. I think it's true that you can quit only for yourself, not because someone else wants you to, but I do wish I had given her that gift.
I am thrilled for you, and for all you others who know that your day is coming...
