last week my best freid and long time pickin'partner killed himself i'm pretty much at a loss i wrote this

suicde saddle horn
of gabriel blow
my blues away-ward son
who autoo know better
than to do something like that
we all make a difference
in someones lifetime
to remember what and why not
of my making
it all work-out
of bounds out of time
to have another round
about midnight of the soul
survivors are the ones who
suffer and continue on
ward off the evil spirits
of yesterday is gone
but not forgotten
memories are what we have left
right now is the time
marches on
with or without us
