Subject: RE: Req: Chords for Nashville (Uncle Dave Macon)
Murray, I had another idea.

The version I have is guitar, and is by Jim Craig of Chicago who now owns Hogeye Music in Evanston. He and his wife Vivian had played the clubs there extensively "back then" and Art Thieme was kind enough to send me a tape recently of one of their sets. Jim is such a good guitarist, and was such an Uncle Dave aficionado-- I am sure his arrangement is going to be too complicated for me to catch all of it. And I bet even though this was many years ago, he will remember how he played it. It may have been his version of how Macon played it, for all I know... I never heard the original.

I don't have an e-mail address for them and last I looked Hogeye had no website. But I am going to try to get his arrangement. Unless you just GOTTA play this NOW. If I can get it from him I will also send you a copy of his taped version.

OK?
