As said above, we all need to bear witness to mankind's enormities. I remember going to Majdenek a few years back and, yes, it was traumatic - with the real horror being in the detail. But it was a salutary wake-up call at a time when "the final solution" was being replaced in the lexicon of evil by "ethnic cleansing".
You won't enjoy it, but it will be a rite of passage for you. Remember - "Only Connect"!
