You're in college! If I ever tried to tell my son what he could and could not do, he'd laugh, then if I insisted. He would very quietly put out "MOM!". The good thing is, he does have a good head for what's good for him and so far he has been right.

If you are an empathtic person and the pain hurts you, I'd consider making up my own mind if I were you. I'm the same way and it is the main reason I didn't go into the medical or any other painful occupation. Just couldn't handle it.
