Sorry Tim, can't agree. Soused herring, herring roe, herring in oatmeal - brings back memories and makes the old mouth water. Shame about the bones though. Mackeral now, that's as good and much more eater friendly so far as the bones go. Haven't had either since we left Tavistock twelve years ago.
