Congratulations again on your selection as President of The New York Pinewoods Folk Music Club. May your reign be long and the good you do be great.

Because you are fairly new to the Mudcat, I wanted to point out that bert has set up the perfect place to annouce upcoming concerts. Take a look at the "Threads" main page and you'll see that the first 2 threads (called Perma Threads) are in a different color. The second of those is called "What's On." "What's On" is where you can and should post information about upcoming Pinewoods and other gigs. "What's On" is permanent and at the top of the page... the very best place to be! bert does a great job of keeping it current.

"What's On" is good for for us because it eliminates searching for gig threads and saves space at the Mudcat server. The other side of the coin is that Mudcatters live all over the World and no single gig could ever be at a venue more than 1% of us could ever attend.
