There was a British comedian (Roy 'Chubby' Brown?) did a novelty recording of this about 3-4 years ago and every time he sang "livin' next door to Alice" the chorus chanted "Alice? Who the fuck is Alice?" It was very popular for a while.

I went to a dance at a village hall last night and the duo played this and all the dancers did the chant - many times!
