I'd guess that grills are OK, it's only the campfire sort of thing they discourage - big black holes in the infield, danger of grassfires/tentfires. I'd still e-mail them and ask, just to be sure.

I usually don't bring any cooking equipment. The food there is usually quite good, but can be expensive.

I don't know if they're doing it this year, but last year, they tried to avoid having trash receptacles in the campground. Everyone was expected to take their camping trash home with them.

In past years, I've arrived Fri afternoon or early evening and found a campsite easily. I just have one car and a small tent, though - there's ALWAYS room to squeak that in.
