A true story you might enjoy - both Enoch and Tam have told this on separate occasions, it's about how Enoch returned to singing after moving to Toronto.

Tam Kearney (founder of Fiddlers Green folk club in Toronto and one the "Friends") and, I believe, Jim Strickland (gave Dick Gaughan his first paying gig for 2 pounds) were in a store in Toronto when they HEARD this gruff voice at the counter. Looking at each other they both said "That's Enoch Kent".

Tam, in his ever polite Glaswegian manner went up to the voice and said "You're Enoch Kent - you're playing at the Club this weekend".
