My mother tells a story about when my brother sister & I were all small . Shortly after we had moved house, she woke one night thinking she heard one of us calling out for her. So she checked on each of us and we were all fast asleep - then she heard the sound again, "maaa Maaaa " and now that she was fully awake realised that it wasn't coming from the house at all but came from the farm next door where, the cows were in labour !
