Hi, Hip. I play "Sometimes" but I can't guarantee I play it "right," just right per my ear... I move from G, to Am7, to G with a B in the bass and an added D on the high B string, back down to Am7, back down to G, and so on. To play the Am7 I don't add the G on the high E string, I just leave the G string open. Is that at all helpful? I'll be glad to associate the chord changes with particular words if you like.
