I think it is right for the state to handle it through the referendum process, as they are - and it appears that a rather large segment of the MS public finds the historical and traditional value of the flag outweighs any newer connotations.The poll I read said the black population would not vote to remove it, and the total population favored keeping it something 2 to 1. It sounds like a non-issue.
