When I was in 1st grade school in California in early 1986 (one of the 2 years before I was homeschooled), they always used to play the song in class after the Pledge of Allegiance. We had the words on a big piece of cardboard so we could learn them. Lol...when we go to the "stand up" part, all the kids would jump up, grab their chairs, and hold them over their heads. But despite hearing it every morning for 6 months, I still like the song. Them again, did you expect any differently?
