Kendall, my Dad who went from his mother's cooking to the airforce to my mother's cooking without ever boiling an egg for himself would agree with you (in fact he's said exactly that). He had to start cooking at 80 when my mother had her first stroke and now he's on his own he copes pretty well, meat and veg every day with bought puddings etc.
He's just home after a couple of days of tests. Doc said he's very good for his age (84) but cut down on the whisky!
