Can you imagine if the Nashville recording community tried to turn out their version of Ralph Stanley and Emmy Lou? The resulting all-pervasive Muzak versions of "O, Death", performed by a bunch of bargain basement Boxcar Willies, would constitute a whole new circle of hell.
