Festival Dates are Friday 4th to Monday 7th May inclusive. Starts Friday evening at about 7pm, finishes at approx 5pm Monday (bank holiday).

To everybody out there who has never heard of me, a BIG hello, to all who know me see you soon. I am well known for working at this festival and can assure everybody that the Upton-Upon-Severn Folk Festival is on. I was at the 3rd Saturday Folk Club in the Kings Head Upton (by the river) last Saturday (21-04-01). Roger Davies (Festival Chairman) is a good friend and he assured me the weekend is on and that their will be work for me to do again. The Campsite does dry out very quickly and with a good weeks weather can be quite firm. Spin off from the foot & mouth disaster, a number of festivals are not running, therefore at least 40 Morris sides to dance off in the prossesion (12pm Sunday), many more sides to pass through during the weekend. Good pubs to sing in are Upton Muggery, Swan (next river) and Anchor. There are no organised sessions this year (again) but I will still try to keep something going somwhere. Hopefully next year will be different. There should be a late session for festival ticket holders only if we use the usual campsite, weather permitting. This will be held in the Rugby Club. I am told that we have a late drinks licence (1am) for the club house but that still needs confirming. Remeber HOT and cold showers are also available in the club house.
