Music was different then, because for a while, it really slipped out of the control of the "music industry"--there were independent labels putting out wild music, and major labels trying like crazy to put out stuff that sounded like their impression of what was wild music--

Here is my favorite sixties one-hit-wonder:"Witchi Ti Ti". by Everything is Everything--
"Water spirit feeling runnin' round my head,
makes me feel glad that I'm not dead"
--It topped out at #69 in 1969--in 1971, a group called "Today is Tomorrow" covered it, but didn't make it to the Hot 100--the best version of it is by Jim Pepper, who wrote the song, it is seven minutes long, with real Indian drumming and chanting at the beginning and cool saxophone solos--

How do I remember all this music I never cluttered up my head with anything important--
