Unrest and retaliation will continue in (the former) area of Palestine for generations. Unless Israel limits its borders and returns stolen land to the Palestinians (Syria and Egypt as well), revenge actions will continue to grow. No one seems willing to aid the over two million refugees in any meaningful way. Allowing the establishment of Israel by the major powers was a mistake but it cannot now be undone. The only solution left now is to establish borders patrolled by international armed forces until some sort of truce can be maintained by UN peacekeepers.
