I also used my dog's name, Hawker. He was named after an eccentric but rather well known vicar of a little Cornish village called Morwenstow. He (the vicar, not the dog *BG*) is famed for writing 'The song of the Western Men' which has been adopted as the Cornish National Anthem, he also wrote some beautiful poetry, loved animals and rescued shipwrecked sailors - sort of chap I would loved to have known, had we lived in the same time bracket...........
