Rich, I thought I was the only one who photographs doors! Do your nearest and dearest think you are barmy too? It's actually doors and door cases I go for. I used to make ships in bottles till a couple of years ago; thae last one broke inside the bottle after I'd glued it all up, and it wouldn't come out again! I was truying to be too delicate, I suppose ...

I did a leatherwork course years ago (my home town Walsall is the saddlery and lorinery centre of England; lost of folks in the US buy our Western saddles), but I never kept it up--shame, it's a great medium to work in. I spend most of my sare time practicing my instruments now, though you might not tink so to hear me play!
