I respect your point of view and agree that under the "right" circumstances we are all capable of just about anything.
But I happen to believe in the death penalty, and, that the punishment should fit the crime, especially if it were one of my children or relatives that died because of McVeigh. Killing him by lethal injection is far too humane for him.
