DrKev - I suspect you are incorrect about the likelihood of McCain jumping ship and assisting the Dems winning the White House. At the moment there is no one capable of winning a Dem ticket, but I think with McCain's current trend of alienating himself from the Repub party, and his work behind the scenes with Dem leadership - put him in a very good place to turn the Republican mainstream out of power. I also believe that is his intention.
