Ian, you sound like Sherlock Holmes! I learned it as "Whose pigs be these?", but that might be a later affectation. As with many of the rounds I sing, I learned this one at the San Francisco Folk Music Club's New Years gathering, Camp Harmony, where there are rounds galore.
