Some of these are quite distressing to read. How can anybody do that to a kid?

Mountain Dog, down here we treasure our bass-baritones. They are not exactly thick on the ground in folk, I can tell you. Keep rumbling.

And Vectis, being slapped for singing! I'm glad you are doing so well now. That's one in the eye for the nun.

Trapper. I had a similar problem resulting from a family member telling me I was a bighead, when I was about eight. It's never left me and I NEVER do any performance to the best of my ability. (OK. I did once. I sang Cabaret at a social club when I was drunk on Pony, 'the little drink with the big kick!')

I think what we have to look at is why some of us are so hurt by these cruel remarks and why some can just shrug them off. Anyone out there want to give us any pointers?

I think if your wife can give other people pleasure by her singing, they'd love to hear her. Won't she do it for them? Go on Trappers wife, we want to hear you.

Cheers Deni
