Subject: RE: BS: Religious Question: Life After Death
Well penned Beebs! And it is that humanity that is so widely shared here at the 'Cat that allows us to be friends (often unmet). Living today in a way that leaves you content is by far the most important thing we can do......treating each other as humane human beings. Living this life to get to the next always seemed such a ludicrous concept. Leave no shame now and you'll have none tomorrow.

Jason, when I was younger, as is generally true of younger days, I thought little of my own mortality and questions of afterlife and the like were well removed from my mind. One particular passage from the Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu prayer, struck me as most important and spoke of the way life could be............

In battle, in forest,
At the precipice in the mountains,
On the dark, great sea,
In the midst of javelins and arrows,
In sleep, in confusion, in the depths of shame,
The good deeds a man has done before defend him.
