Ah ... it t'was a great day! I spent it in beautiful downtown Ganges, on Salt Spring Is. Grand fireworks ... lots of boats in the harbour and kids running around with Canadian flags draped on their backs ... a good time was had by all!

P.S. A lady visiting from the USA asked me if Canada still belonged to the British Colonies ...I answered "Oh yeah .. Aunty Betty's still in charge" ....
