I don't know if this is a Popeyeism, but I like it: a friend of mine uses "eddification" instead of "education" but puts emphasis on the "fic" part making it sound like the naughty f-word.

He also used to sign off his very funny magazine feature column with "copulator" which sounds like an Oz-ism, "cop (i.e. catch) you later".
