I liked the movie, too. Shelley Duvall was perfect, visually, as Olive Oyl.

Did you know that the premise that spinach made you strong was based on a printing mistake. A publication, maybe a newspaper, printed a list of sources of iron in foods and added an extra digit to the spinach amount, so instead of a small amount like 1.x, it ended up being something like 21.x. So the whole idea of Popeye and his spinach was based on one little typo.

I like the "I yam what I yam" philosophy too.

I'm really fond of the Roger Rabbit movie too - yes, I know it wasn't based on "real" cartoon characters, but I love it. Drop Dead Fred is another cartoony-movie that I love, too.
