Thread Name: Name suggestions for a fairly new pub.
Subject: Name suggestions for a fairly new pub.
There is a fairly new pub in our humble burg which is contemplating a name change. The management is looking for suggestions for a new name, to be implemented over the next few months. They have a fairly diverse and eclectic clientele, predominantly in the collegiate to early 30s age group. Management wants to go with an Irish theme. We chatted this evening about some possiblities.

I'm more than a bit spiffilcated, so I trust you'll forgive my clumsy attempts at anglicized phonetic spellings here, but two names that were well received in tonight's chat were "Pog ma hone" and "Chucky ar la". Spelling aside (once again, my apologies), these will at least give you some sense of the range of things that will be considered.

So, my request here, is for suggestions as to names for this pub. The folks that own/run the place aren't afraid to be bold and audacious in the naming process, but I imagine cleverness would win out over crudity. Political is okay as well. Song/tune titles, slogans, folk expressions, aspirations, quotations, honorifics, etc., etc., are all worthy of consideration.

The place was toying with new ways to enjoy the black stuff tonight. My favorite was with a shot of raspberry liquor added. Not for evey palate, not for every night, and not for all night, but a delightful change of pace.

Your creative suggestions will be appreciated.

I'll have to look again in the mornig, but I again apologize if this reads nearly as befuddled as my head feels at the moment.
