Government cannot give enough for a basic level of income to ALL the people who need it. There are just too many who need it, and too much money that "needs" to be spent on lovely stuff like nuclear weapons. So people only get enough food for one to three weeks of every month, when we already have enough weaponry to blow this whole planet up. Yay. Ain't government grand?
