I'm not "into" the competitive thing, but I do recognize that there are many folks who thrive on it. I'm more inclined to compete with myself. I practice and play with the basic goal of "better today than yesterday, but not as good as tomorrow." Of course, it doesn't always work out that way, but it's still a workable philosophy.
