Last week I performed my second solo concert at my teacher's store/concert hall. It seats 50. The room was full, with audience in the lobby, as well. I did four songs requiring audience participation, including 2 where I taught the audience to sing the chorus with me. My first time for that. My second set was a mix of bawdy songs, hymns, and love songs, and ended with a chant text I'd set to my own composition. When I finished, the audience was still there, after about 5 seconds they started applause.

I took a lot of risks with choices of songs and presentation, and ended up with art. It feels really good.
