Dick, I tried to explain the startup thingie in this post.

"Modifying the EXE file startup key"?
The EXE file startup key = what computer does when you click on an EXE file
The virus changes this. The downloadable program changes it back to normal. There's a way to change it manually, but without infecting my own computer, I can't figure it out, and any guesses might make things worse.
